How it works
“Designer for a day” starts with a one-to-one session lasting up to 4 hours, on-site at your home in West Yorkshire. The session is tailored to your particular space and the specific challenge you need help with.
STEP ONE: Get in touch to arrange a day and time to have an initial phone call with Ellie. Explain the issue to Ellie over the phone, and then make the decision to go-ahead or not. Make a booking if you would like to go ahead.
STEP TWO: Prepare your thoughts and ideas before the session.
STEP THREE: Ellie will visit your home to look at the issue you need help with. We discuss your goals, your thoughts on the issue and we talk about how you would like the space to feel and function. Ellie may measure the room, check levels of daylight in the space and make some initial notes. You’ll have chance to discuss some initial ideas together.
STEP FOUR: Following the session, a concise design summary is prepared and emailed to you. This takes up the remaining hours of design time included in the service. This design summary may include one or possibly two clear outputs - these will be the ones needed to help you move forward. These may include a simple floor plan, a colour chart, a mood board, or some furnishing or lighting sourcing advice.
